Daley out of UFC… but still fighting

Picture 13 300x164 Daley out of UFC... but still fightingSo it is official the UFC has ended Paul Daley’s contract with the UFC after what happened Saturday night with Josh Koscheck.  This photo taken at the prefight weigh-ins of Daley waving good bye to Koscheck with Dana White standing there.  Its kinda funny now looking back at everything.  But as of Wednesday morning Paul is no longer a fighter for the UFC.  It turns out this isnt going to hurt Daley’s career that much as he is proving to be a hot commodity.  Many people thought that Daley would just jump to Strikeforce since this is the biggest competing organization but since they are based in the US they are governed by the same athletic commissions and any suspension Daley gets would affect his ability to fight with them.  So it will be off to Australia for him.  He already has two fights lined up between now and the end of the year.  The first fight for him will be an Australian Pay Per View event happening on July 3rd.  Daley is also in talks with Dream and Sengoku about possibly getting a chance to fill in a slot with these organizations.  He is hoping that by the end of the year he can lock in a contract with either a Japanese or Australian organization since for the most part they dont have to follow any suspensions that the Canadian or American athletic commission doles out to Paul.   Daley is a great fighter and there are many league that would love to have him fight for them.  Personally I think ditching him was a huge mistake on the part of the UFC.  As a fan we have already seen the Koscheck vs GSP fight and I dont think it will be all that exciting this time either.  Both of them have wrestling back grounds and it will be alot each man trying to take the other down.  I bet it goes all 5 rounds and after 25 minutes of man on man rolling around GSP will get the decision.  Instead of firing Daley for getting pissed at Joshs unsportsmanlike conduct, Dana White should have suspended Josh for fighting like a bitch.  But he didnt and now he will have to deal with a boring fight.  Just another example of White giving special treatment to the few “Chosen” fighters that he loves so much.  This will probably turn out to be great for Daley, it got him out of his shitty contract he had with the UFC, his name is more popular then ever, and now he has the chance to fight for leagues that actual pay their fighters enough for them to make a living.  So go out there and start knocking people out Daley, win the Dream title belt, make Dana eat his words, then when he is asking you to come fight in the UFC again to liven up the 170lb weight class, tell him to fuck off.
